Fantastic news went out to Diane Burke. SHE GOT THE CALL! Tina Columbo, Senior Editor from Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense, called Diane and offered her a contract for her book manuscript, WHISPERS IN THE DARK. You rock, girl! How about a 5-day cruise to the Caribbean with limo ride to the airport. (Don’t worry, I’ll throw in some seasick pills.) Catherine Kean’s medieval romance, A KNIGHT’S TEMPTATION, book three of her Knight’s Series published by Medallion Press came out in March but wasn’t due out until April ‘09. We share her happiness in the early release. Two dozen long stem pink and white roses will be carried by the gallant ‘hero’ of your choice. This just in - Catherine found out that her medieval romance, A KNIGHTS REWARD finaled in the National Readers’ Choice Awards. What an honor! More roses going her way – namely the chocolate ones. Connie Neumann’s romantic suspense, TRAPPED, published by Wild Rose Press, will be released on Friday, June 19, 2009. We’re standing in line for our copy(ies) and ready for a great read from a great gal. We know she’s busy working on her next one and I’m eager to find out her plot. A fountain of bubbly and a two-pound box of Godiva chocolates go out to her for her past, present and future endeavors. First Connie, then Diane and now, Dee Gatrell is reaching for her brass ring. Dee’s new assigned editor at Wild Rose Press asked to see her entire manuscript, MAGICAL AMULET. So let’s keep our fingers, toes and eyes crossed for her positive acceptance. A bouquet of Spring flowers goes her way, carried by her favorite Country artist. Could that be Carrie Underwood? Or Clint Black? I believe ‘good news’ permeates the air due to our chapter’s talented published and non-published authors. This is our year, members. Everyone - applaud yourself for your achievements. Either from escaping writer’s block, finishing that manuscript or finding the precious time, from a hectic schedule, to put together a plot and outline for your next WIP. Fellow writers…you rock! ***Remember, I’m just an email addy away in sharing your ‘great news’ with the rest of the group. Until then, happy writing trails! Power-up, computer.
